Kirklees Music School is an independent organisation, a registered charity, and company limited by guarantee, which exists to promote the advancement of public education in all aspects of music.

Musica Kirklees delivers tuition to over 5000 pupils in Kirklees through the Whole Class Ensemble Tuition and a further 2400 pupils in small group instrumental tuition.  Twice a year their teachers form recital groups and give live performances in schools, bringing live music to a further 6000 pupils.

Musica Kirklees has over 70 members of staff, most performing a mainly teaching function, with a small administrative team based at the offices in Beast Market, Huddersfield.

Wakefield Music Services (WMS) is the lead organisation for the Wakefield Music Education Hub (WMEH) and has been providing quality inclusive music teaching and opportunities to the young people in Wakefield since 1974.

Since then the service has grown and expanded, broadening its provision and range of instruments, genres and activities that it offers.

WMS provides musical tuition and opportunities to children in over 95% of schools, academies and in several Music Centres across all Wakefield communities.

Through their lead partner, Doncaster’s Music Service, Doncaster Music Hub provides music to all ages and all backgrounds and believes that the opportunity to play a musical instrument should be available to every child, regardless of financial or social circumstances.

A full music support service is offered to all schools. Each week, pupils from all over the Borough come to the William Appleby Music Centre in Doncaster to take part in one or more of the many activities, including orchestras, bands, guitar groups, recorder groups, choirs, and theory classes. The young people play music together, make new friends and, perhaps above all, have fun. There is a place for everyone.

Leeds Music Education Partnership is the music education hub for Leeds.

Drawing together schools with partners from many organisations involved with music education, LMEP delivers a coordinated music offer in response to the National Plan for Music Education.

As music, arts and educational organisations, the majority of the work and activity all partners undertake is in addition to that which is supported, commissioned or funded by LMEP.
