Resonate, Liverpool’s Music Hub, funded by Arts Council England, operates as a gateway for Liverpool’s young musicians. Over 13,000 pupils in Liverpool have regular access to outstanding music opportunities which will impact on their lives and enhance the city.

Resonate is a partnership of organisations, led by Notre Dame Catholic College. They are committed to delivering the aims of the National Plan for Music Education, working with schools and organisations to make young people’s music in Liverpool outstanding.

Notre Dame Catholic College is delighted to lead this development together with a group of Foundation Partners who each have membership of the Management Board.

Formed in 2002, Blackpool Music Service is a nationally respected, financially self-sufficient, customer led service which, according to the Federation of Music Services provides ‘outstanding value for money’.

In September 2012 the service was offered Music Education Hub status. This has ensured future Department of Education grants until 2016 and an expansion of our services, partners, inspirational events and, enjoyable music-making for all Blackpool children.

Accent Music Education Hub aims to ensure that every child aged 5 -18 has the opportunity to learn a musical instrument (in addition to voice) through whole class ensemble teaching programmes.

They also aim to provide opportunities to play in ensembles and to perform from an early age, ensure that clear progression routes are available and affordable to all young people, develop a singing strategy to ensure that every pupil is singing regularly, and that choirs and other vocal ensembles are availabe in the area.

Music Hub is a partnership between organisations who have come together to provide high-quality music making opportunities for the children and young people of Blackburn and Darwen. 

Their vision is simple – high-quality music opportunities, accessible for all. The lead organisation is Blackburn with Darwen Music Service, which is part of Blackburn with Darwen Council.

Other partners include the BBC, More Music in Morecambe and Manchester Camerata, Blackburn Youth Zone, Blackburn with Darwen Young People’s Service, Blackburn Cathedral, and The Hallé. Their vision is simple – high-quality music opportunities, accessible for all.

Love Music Trust is the lead partner and fund holder for the music education hub for Sandbach/Cheshire East.

The partnership is charged by The Arts Council to help every child (5-18 years old) to have the opportunity to discover and develop their musical abilities.

As a hub they are about much more than delivering music lessons; they find ways of making the grant funding that is available for Cheshire East work really hard for the children so that they have rich, wide and high-quality musical opportunities.

Musical Routes is the music education Hub for Wirral with Cheshire West and Chester and is led by the two local authority music services working in partnership.

Musical Routes is an umbrella organization, working to coordinate music education and activities to ensure our children access to as many opportunities for music making as possible. The Hub combines Arts Council funding with funding from schools, parents and other sources of non-public funding to deliver a wide range of music education across the area.

Launched in July 2016, Sefton Council and Knowsley Council Music Hubs joined together to create a new Sefton and Knowsley Youth (SKY) Music Hub.
