    11:00 am To 3:00 pm

    Sharon Durant / Dave Camlin

Led by Sharon Durant and Dave Camlin (Mouthful).

These brilliant singers with experience from Sing Up and the British Council World Voice project will take your skills to another level, sharing their years of experience.

For vocal leaders who want to advance their skill.

“The Mouthful Way is our philosophy of singing, where all singing is good singing and every voice is beautiful. Singing is the voice of our spirit, and in this workshop, Sharon and Dave will introduce you to The Mouthful Way and some of its by-roads. Expect the workshop to cover such things as preparing to sing together and warming up, making vocal arrangements, leading and conducting groups, improvisation, finding inspiration and developing vocal technique. Or all of the above!

We’ll use arrangements of existing material, and we may make new things together. We’ve learned that just as ‘the map is not the territory’ (and the score is not the music) so, too, the workshop plan is not the workshop!

Above all, The Mouthful Way is a collective intention, a political act of being in the world in solidarity with our fellow humans through singing. The Mouthful Way is a journey, not a destination; we make the road by singing.”

    Dave Camlin.

Bloco Lates is a session that takes place fortnightly at the Royal Festival Hall to encourage younger Kinetica Bloco participants to engage in various genres of music.

With the aim to inspire upcoming musicians and dancers, each session is led by a slightly older generation of Kinetika participants.

Through these sessions, we hope to expose participants to various genres of music and styles of dance. This ranges from Jazz (contemporary and traditional), Hip Hop, Electronics, Afrobeat(s) and many more. With each session following a specific theme, we hope to encourage participants to learn new style of music and dance whilst inspiring new styles and approaches created by young musicians.

Every year, we host concerts and performances by artists such as composer, Krzysztof Penderecki, music documentary-maker, Bruno Monseingeon, New York Times music critic, Corinna Da Fonseca, first clarinet of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Alessandro Carbonare, and leading violinist of the Berliner Philarmoniker, Alessandro Cappone.

Once a year, visitors and exhibitors from across the world flock to Cremona in Northern Italy to experience Cremona Mondomusica.

Within this globally respected stringed instrument exhibition sits Piano Experience: the only trade fair exclusively dedicated to the piano world and a core meeting point for the exchange of ideas and updates and the development of new business.

Piano Experience has been created in response to instrument-makers’, distributors’, buyers’ and musicians’ needs in partnership with AIARP (the Italian Association of Piano Tuners and Repairers) and in cooperation with the world’s most important piano manufacturers, music institutions, and conservatoires.
